چکیده
Introduction Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a major kind of mellitus. This study aimed to analyze the regulatory effect long noncoding RNA NBR2 on pancreatic cell function and related mechanisms, clinical significance abnormal expression in patients with T2DM. Material methods The levels microRNA-19a-3p (miR-19a-3p) were measured using quantitative Real-Time PCR. glucose-stimulated insulin secretion was ELISA kit, proliferation examined Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay. A dual-luciferase reporter assay used confirm relationship between miR-19a-3p. diagnostic values NBR2, miR-19a-3p combined assessed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results INS-1 cells inhibited overexpression, promoted knockdown. MiR-19a-3p, which directly mediated effects function. Increased serum level decreased found T2DM patients, negative correlation fasting plasma glucose positively correlated negatively Both had certain accuracy, whereas, detection showed more considerable accuracy. Conclusions Our findings indicated that NBR2/miR-19a-3p axis regulates β function, while may be novel biomarkers for diagnosis

miR-494 protects pancreatic β-cell function by targeting PTEN in gestational diabetes mellitus
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common pregnancy complications characterized by insulin resistance and pancreatic β-cell dysfunction. Increasing evidence suggests that microRNAs (miRNAs) play key roles in the diverse types of diabetes, including GDM. However, the underlying mechanisms remain largely unknown. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of microRNA...
متن کاملImpact of Magnesium Deficiency on Pancreatic β-Cell Function in Type 2 Diabetic Nigerians
Objective: Pancreatic b-cell dysfunction is described to be present at the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and progressively deteriorated with disease duration. However, its progression is variable and potentially influenced by several factors. The Magnesium (Mg) deficiency mediates insulin resistance but reports regarding its role in pancreatic β-cell dysfunction are scarce and co...
متن کاملβlinc1 encodes a long noncoding RNA that regulates islet β-cell formation and function.
Pancreatic β cells are responsible for maintaining glucose homeostasis; their absence or malfunction results in diabetes mellitus. Although there is evidence that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play important roles in development and disease, none have been investigated in vivo in the context of pancreas development. In this study, we demonstrate that βlinc1 (β-cell long intergenic noncoding RNA...
متن کاملLong Noncoding RNA GCASPC, a Target of miR-17-3p, Negatively Regulates Pyruvate Carboxylase-Dependent Cell Proliferation in Gallbladder Cancer.
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) are being implicated in the development of many cancers. Here, we report the discovery of a critical role for the lncRNA GCASPC in determining the progression of gallbladder cancer. Differentially expressed lncRNAs and mRNAs between gallbladder cancer specimens and paired adjacent nontumor tissues from five patients were identified and validated by an expression mic...
متن کاملCirculating long noncoding RNA GAS5 levels are correlated to prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
BACKGROUND Diabetes mellitus (DM), a metabolic disease, is characterized by impaired fasting glucose levels. Type 2 DM is adult onset diabetes. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) regulate gene expression and multiple studies have linked lncRNAs to human diseases. METHODS Serum samples obtained from 96 participating veterans at JAH VA were deposited in the Research Biospecimen Repository. We used ...
