Long-noncoding RNA NBR2 via targeting miR-19a-3p regulates pancreatic β cell function and provides novel biomarkers for type 2 diabetes mellitus

Introduction Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a major kind of mellitus. This study aimed to analyze the regulatory effect long noncoding RNA NBR2 on pancreatic  cell function and related mechanisms, clinical significance abnormal expression in patients with T2DM. Material methods The levels microRNA-19a-3p (miR-19a-3p) were measured using quantitative Real-Time PCR. glucose-stimulated insulin secretion was ELISA kit, proliferation examined Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay. A dual-luciferase reporter assay used confirm relationship between miR-19a-3p. diagnostic values NBR2, miR-19a-3p combined assessed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Results INS-1 cells inhibited overexpression, promoted knockdown. MiR-19a-3p, which directly mediated effects function. Increased serum level decreased found T2DM patients, negative correlation fasting plasma glucose positively correlated negatively Both had certain accuracy, whereas, detection showed more considerable accuracy. Conclusions Our findings indicated that NBR2/miR-19a-3p axis regulates β function, while may be novel biomarkers for diagnosis
